World of Warcraft is far and away the most popular Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game ever created. Released by Blizzard Entertainment in November of 2004, WoW now entertains more than six million people in dozens of countries. World of Warcraft is a roleplaying game, which means a player takes on the role of a character they create and battle their way through creatures, dungeons and traps to earn experience and find treasure. Dungeons in WOW are called instances because one is spawned specifically for each party that enters it.
